News: Many TRPs are ruined and there is a rather large horde in Bale Mall. Looks like we've got a fight on our hands.

Heya, I've just started Urban dead, as you can probably tell, with a character called Dave the elf. I've played a couple of MMORPGs before, but never anything like this, so I'm looking for a couple of pointers on what to do. I'm currently in Club Nanning in Yagoton and I understand that you are the people to speek to in this area. I've started as a medic, and done the typical noob thing of wasting all my handgun amo on 5% accuracy and using up all my action points not doing alot, as I acted before reading all the wiki stuff which was a mistake. Anyway, I realise that I can't join as I'm not yet rank 3, but I'm just looking for pointers on what I can do to level up really so I can join in with the big boys fun.

Cheers,

You've come to the right place. First I suggest utilizing the guide I wrote as it contains many of the pointers we'll give you. It can be located here or on the wiki under the same name. You can also find me on msn messenger, my email for it is Rohndogg1@hotmail.com Or just post your questions here. Most of my tips for leveling up are found in my guide, but we're available to answer specific questions that you may have. The key thing is to have fun. grin

Heh, I started as a combat medic too. You'll find that your best way of making EXP for now will be by healing people at entry points.

Yeah, it's kinda funny that both leaders started as medics.

Welcome, Sir Robin!

I started with the military class, as a Private I believe. I recall seeing the class came with a couple pistols and I like to shoot things so...

Good advice from Rohndogg and Mark. I'd suggest maybe staying in the Surridge Building to the north next to the mall. It's supposed to be an entry point, and is near Harkness Street, which is a revive point. A lot of people will stand up injured after being revived and look for the nearest entry to sleep.

See you around!

Another question to add to the pile of noobness: Is there anyway to get around Heavy barricading, I'm wasting a rediculous amount of AP going to buildings listed as EPs on the barricade plan and finding they're heavily barricaded. Also, as a medic I rely on FAK for experience, but the Catherine General hospital and the next nearest hospital to where I've been having my safehouses (Fabian General hospital in Shuttlebank) have both been heavily barricaded when I've tried to get in, despite being entry points, so I've had to resort to zombie bashing, which I'm not very good at as a medic in order to earn exp, any advice?

Unfortunately the only way to open over caded EPs is to attack the cades until they're at VSB

I suppose I shall reopen Faber for the time being, if you still need a place to live.

I'm OK for the time being, but thanks for the offer, I was more annoyed at just not being able to get FAKs but I'm stocked up now.
